Brian Abbott, MD, FACC, FASNC
Dr. Brian Abbott is currently on staff at Rhode Island Hospital. His academic appointments include Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Brown Medical School, Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine, and Associate Director of the Yale Cardiology Fellowship Program. He is a member of the Education Committee, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the Scientific Session Committee, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Leo HB Baur, MD, PhD
Dr. Leo Baur currently serves in The Department of Cardiology, Atrium Medical Centre, in The Netherlands. Additional affiliations include the Department of Cardiology at Leiden University and the Department of Cardiology at Maastricht University. He is certified by the National Board of Echocardiography.

S. Michelle Bierig, MPH, RDCS, RDMS
S. Michelle Bierig is the editor of the Journal of Diangostic Medical Sonography. She has worked as a supervisor for the Core Echocardiography Laboratory at St. Louis University. She won the Dupont Pharmaceuticals/SDMS Ultrasound Contrast Imaging Award in 2001. She was also the winner of the Bracco/Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Award in Contrast Research in 1999. Michelle is a Board Member of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Norman Bolus, MPH, CNMT
Norman Bolus is the Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of The Society of Nuclear Medicine, The Health Physics Society and The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Kimberly Chadwell, RDCS
Kimberly Chadwell is a University of Maryland graduate. She is currently a Senior Staff Cardiac Sonographer. She co-authored the SDMS Echocardiography Reference Manual, 1998. Kimberly served on the editorial board of the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 

Stephanie Creel, BSRT(R), RDMS, RVT
Stephanie Creel is an ultrasonographer at the University of Michigan Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in radiation science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. You can find other articles by Stephanie Creel in theJournal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Gregory Hornstein, RT(R), BSRT(R)
Gregory Hornstein is a CT Technologist with Providence Everett Medical Center in Everett, Washington. He has conducted lectures on trauma medical Imaging, cross sectional analysis, CT, MRI, and advanced imaging modalities. He also has multiple web developments.

Joseph Hornak, PhD
Dr. Joseph Hornak earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame. His post-doctorate work was completed at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. He is currently a Professor of Chemistry and Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Editor-in Chief of the Encyclopedia of Imaging Science and Technology. Andrew Horning, BA, RDCS
Andrew Horning is the Clinical Product Support Engineer at Biosound Esaote. He earned his Bachelor degree in English from Indiana University. He is the author and illustrator of Stress Echocardiography, which is currently in its 7th edition.

Kimberly Luse, MEd, RT(R)
Kimberly Luse is the Assistant Professor of the Clinical-Advanced Medical Imaging Technology Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Allied Health. She has also worked as a technologist in both cardiovascular angiography and MRI at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. She participated in the Educational Foundations Doctoral Program at the University of Cincinnati.

April Mann CNMT, RT(N)
April Mann won 1st Place in the Cardiovascular Council Award, Technologist Papers. She lectured at the 47th Annual Society of Nuclear Medicine Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. She is currently the Manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.

Michael Middleton, MD
Dr Middleton is an Associate Professor of Radiology for Texas A&M Health System Science Center College of Medicine, and the Director of the Division of Nuclear Medicine, Scott and White Memorial Hospital and Clinic in Temple, Texas.

Tami Moskal, BS, MA
Tami Moskal received her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University as well as her Master of Arts from Michigan State University. She is an adjunct instructor in English at Cleary University in Howell, Michigan. She is also a teacher consultant for the National Writing Project for the Eastern Michigan chapter.

Nanda Navin, MD
Dr. Nanda Navin is a professor of medicine and the director of University of Alabama, Birmingham's Heart Station/Echocardiography Laboratories. He was awarded the Special Millennium Award from the Association of Physicians of India during its recent 57th annual meeting in Chennai, India. The award cited Dr. Nanda for his pioneering contributions in the field of cardiology.

Saabry Osmany, MD
Saabry Osmany is currently on staff in the Department of Nuclear Medicine and PET and Singapore General Hospital. He received his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh and did his residency in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Mark Pierce, RT(R)(CT)
Mark Pierce is the Supervisor of CT Scan, Ultrasound, and Radiology Engineering at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. With over 20 years experience as an imaging technologist , Mark has worked in nearly all areas of radiology including CT, nuclear medicine, general imaging and QA. Mark authored the popular study guide, Comprehensive Review for the Radiology Registry (Lippincott /Williams and Wilkins Publishing).

John Posh, RT(R)(MR)
John Posh is the Vice President of Operations for InSight Health Services, Bethlehem, PA. He earned his certificate in Advanced Imaging Technology from the Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Advanced Imaging.

Lois E. Romans, BA, RT(R)(CT)
President of ECEI and creator of CE Source™, Lois Romans also works in the CT department at the University of Michigan Health Systems in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has worked as a consultant for both General Electric Medical Systems and the ARRT. As part of the ARRT team, Lois helped develop the first national certification examination for CT. She is the author of two textbooks: Introduction to Computed Tomography and Questions and Explanations in CT, both published by Williams & Wilkins. Lois is currently at work on her third textbook.

Vincent Sorrell, MD, FACC, FACP, FASE
Vincent Sorrell received his medical degree from Saint George University of Medicine. Dr. Sorrell is an Associate Professor at the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. His specialties include Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiology, and Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging.

Renee Tetreault-Abiad, MEd
Renee Tetreault Abiad is currently a seventh and eighth grade science teacher at General Brock Elementary, Windsor, Ontario, in Canada. She received her Masters in Education from Wayne State University, Detroit, in 2004 where she focused on statistical evaluation and assessment, and theory of American education.

Steven Thibodeau, BS, RT(R)(MR)
Steven Thibodeau is currently the MRI Application Specialist at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston Massachusetts. He has also served as the Associate Radiology Instructor at both St. Joseph’s College, Windham, Maine and the Technical Institute in Concord, New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Maine.

Andy Trovinger work in a large private radiology practice with many office throughout Colorado.  Prior to moving out west Andy was the Senior MRI Technical Support Specialist for the American Radiology Services in Baltimore, MD.

Alan Vespie, MEd, RT(R), CNMT
Alan Vespie is the Assistant Clinical Professor Program Director at the University of Cincinnati. He has a Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction and is pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Multicredentialing Issues in Allied Health Education. Elaine Wacholtz, PhD
Elaine Wacholtz is an experienced medical writer and editor and has been employed with various medical companies.
